Subject: The failures of the Sulva Campaign [Galipoli]
Subject: The failures of the Sulva Campaign [Galipoli]
Accepting that little acheives objectivity, this by it's nature cannot be, however it does highlight the critical nature of leadership in most things military, and points honestly and directly to the failures of this campaign. Whether a lack of leadership was Richardson's problem, this cannot measure, but it certainly shows great weaknesses in his subordinates. It gives great strength to the old addage that British troops were "..lions led by donkeys.."
